Clay-away

Recntly my Monkey has found he likes to play with clay. Ill ok with it.... untill i noticed he smashes it into the carpet. while lookin on line for a cheep fix i relized this must be a big thing for other mas and das so i have compiled all i can find on how to remove clay from the carpet and cloths.

FOR CLOTHS
  • 1. Carefully remove as much clay as you can using a soft scraping tool such as a spoon
  • 2. Soak and agitate the cloth in water before washing to further remove clay
  • 3. Use a laundry pre-treat or liquid detergent and rub into stain.
  • 4. Launder as usual.
For tough stains use digestant presoak (don't use on wool or silk) product for about 30 minutes. Soak old stains for at least several hours.
Launder normally, rinse, and inspect. If stain remains, soak an additional 30 minutes, then rewash. If you are still having trouble try using a laundery booster available at most grocery stores. If the shirt is white you could also try bleaching the stains, by adding blech the the wash water.
CAUTION: Be sure to check care instructions on the label of the material.

FOR THE CARPET

Remove as much as you can with a spoon
Using  Canola Oil place some on a paper towel and rub gently untill it is gone.
To remove the color left behind use nail polish in the same method

Another way is to steam clean the area. although that takes a few times to get it fully clean and it can be spendy if you or a friend doesn't own one.

HAVE YOU FOND SOME THING THAT WORKS ON CLAY??

Uses for used dryer sheets

I stumbled on this earlier today and had to pass it on.

Here are 26 ways to reuse your dryer sheets.....

1. Use it to dust your television screen. The anti-static chemicals in a dryer sheet will help to repel dust and lint.
2. Use old dryer sheets to easily wipe up talcum powder, flour, and other messes of this type.
3. Used sheets usually have enough fragrance in them to freshen up other areas in your home. Stuff them in tennis shoes, place them in closets, in laundry hampers and in pieces of luggage -- anywhere your house needs a little "refreshment."
4. Run a sheet over a piece of thread when you're doing sewing tasks. The thread won't tangle up as easy.
5. Have pet hair on your clothing? Simply wipe it off with a used dryer sheet! Also works great on cloth furniture too!
6. Keep dust and other contaminants off your glass computer screen by carefully wiping it with an old sheet.
7. Did you purchase some old, musty books at a garage sale or thrift shop? Make them smell good again! Simply place the books in a sealed plastic bag with a used dryer sheet. Allow the bag to sit undisturbed for a day or two, then remove the contents. The musty smell will be gone!
8. Got a problem with mice? Find where they are entering your house and stuff the hole shut with a used sheet. Mice won't chew through the smelly material.
9. Place a used dryer sheet in the bag of your vacuum. Sweep your house, and, once you're done, the air will smell as fresh as your clothes do.
10. These wonders of the 70's are also said to repel mosquitoes as well as other annoying, flying insects. Don't rub it on you. Instead, stick a used sheet in your belt loop.
11. You can use dryer sheets to clean and polish the chrome on your vehicles.
12. Is there a build-up of soap scum on your glass shower door? Simply use an old dryer sheet to eliminate the mess.
13. Is the interior of your car or truck smelling a little stale? Forget the pine tree on a string! Place a few used dryer sheets under the seats of your vehicle instead!
14. Use sheets to clean and polish the glass lens of your eye glasses. They're not recommended for plastic lens, though!
15. Is your hair dry and full of static electricity? Gently wipe a used dryer sheet over your head to get rid of it.
16. Dryer sheets make great dusting cloths for your wooden furniture.
17. Help keep dust and other contaminants out of your house. Simply place a used sheet inside every furnace/AC register in your house. Make sure it covers the openings and replace once they are dirty.
18. Keep your window blinds clean longer by wiping them periodically with used dryer sheets. The anti-static properties of the product will actually help to repel dust and dirt.
19. Are your scissors not cutting as smooth as they should? Wipe the blades clean with a used dryer sheet to remedy this problem.
20. Used dryer sheets make great little cloths for quick shine ups in the bathroom and kitchen too. Just use one on each of your chrome faucets and see how brightly they shine!
21.Scrapbooking: used dryer sheets can add texture to a scrapbook when you use them under photographs.
22.Bugs on a windshield: put a little water on your used dryer sheet and rub bugs off a windshield easily.
23.Preventing trash odors: put a used dryer sheet in the bottom of the kitchen garbage pail to keep food odors to a minimum until you take the garbage out. (Note: this won’t work long-term, but it can make a difference if you’re just leaving it overnight.)
24.Removing deodorant from clothes: if you get deodorant on your clothes while dressing, rub it away with a fabric softener.
25.Cleaning the dryer: what better way to clean your dryer after using it, than to hold onto the dryer sheet and give it a quick once over?
26.Cleaning cookware: with a few drops of water, a used dryer sheet will take dirt off cookware with surprising ease.

home face cleanser

Kk so on my search today I found a home trick for clean freash ( and younger) skin.

You will need
washcloth
towel
small jar
dish soap
bleach
water
olive oil

this is what  Jeanne says to do
Just try this....everyone I have told it too, calls me and want to get a patent on it. You have dish soap, and your have bleach. You need only buy a very small bottle of olive oil. YOu put the bleach in a bottle...about an inch then fill w/water. You get your washcloth...or face buffer(little white round buffer pads) Put the soap on the cloth then tip the bottle over on the cloth...so you really just have a small amt....rub your skin, w/a little pressure....go in circles....up around your hairline, in front of your ears...and especially your chin, you can rub a little harder on your chin. Then rinse....dry and get your olive oil bottle....wet both your hands....rub them together, so that they are just damp then again turn the bottle over in one of your hands...w/your hand pressed against the bottle top....so that just a smidge comes out. Rub your hands together again....then rub the oil/water all over your face, under your eyes...

OK Jeanne im going to give it a try. Im going to do b4 and after pics and let you all know how it goes at the end of the week.
